Honda recalls 7,600 2006-2007 Ridgeline trucks over … kicks?

So, first we have Toyota and their brake system woes, now Honda gets its own recall, for kicks?  It turns out that if an excited passenger kicks around in the passenger footwell of a 2006-2007 Honda Ridgeline, an unprotected wiring connector can come loose, causing short-circuiting and even fire.  The National Highway Transportation Safety Association (NHTSA) and Honda made the announcement, saying that 7,600 Ridgeline truck owners will receive a letter informing them of the recall.  Dealerships will inspect the wiring, replace if necessary, and install a protective cover to prevent future kicks from dislodging the wiring.
