Review: 2011 GMC Sierra SLE

We may be nearing the end of the model year, but there’s still time to pick up a 2011 model-year vehicle.  With that in mind, I recently got my hands on a 2011 GMC Sierra, and with very few changes expected for the 2012 model year, it’s safe to say that my mostly positive experience will be carried into next year as well.  With that in mind, read on for my review of GM’s “Professional Grade” half-ton pickup.

Update: Tesla plane crash details

The details are coming in regarding the airplane crash which occured on Wednesday, involving 3 Tesla Motors employees.  It now turns out that 56 year old engineer Doug Bourn was piloting his plane when it crashed.  His passengers were Andrew Ingram, 31, and Brian M. Finn, 42, both of Palo Alto.  Instead of the foggy conditions that were suspected, the San Jose Mercury News is reporting that it was probably a mechanical failure.  Click past the jump for a video from the Contra Costa Times.

Breaking News: Tesla employees die in plane crash!

AutoBlog picked up on a story out of Palo Alto, where it appears that 3 Tesla Motors employees died this morning in a plane crash.  The plane was a twin-engined Cessna belonging to one of Tesla’s senior electrical engineers, Doug Bourn.  Continue reading for more details, video and pictures.
