Owner’s Log: MaximumPhil’s 2010 Nissan Maxima, Update 6

Owner’s Log: 2010 Nissan Maxima, Update 6 (Final)

Originally, this update was going to be for just the last quarter, but a delay in finishing it means it’ll be the final update for my 2010 Nissan Maxima.  As of October 19th, I no longer own it.  I’ve traded it in on a 2011 Ford F-150 Lariat EcoBoost, the review of which you’ll see here on Road Reality soon.  Read on for the last review of my Maxima.

Test Drive: 2011 Ford Explorer Limited 4WD

For 2011, Ford released its first full redesign of its storied Explorer since the 2002 update.  It’s no longer truck-based, instead owing parts of its underpinnings to Volvo, Ford and Lincoln vehicles.  Yet, it rides up high, has 3 rows of seating, a “terrain management” knob for all 4 of its driven wheels, which puts it in the CUV/SUV category.  Read on for my driving impressions of Ford’s new Explorer.

PSA: It’s time to change your car’s Cabin Air Filter

See the picture to the left.  Now ask yourself, “How long has it been since I last changed my cabin air filter, or had it changed?”  If that time frame is either so long it’s no longer in your memory, or it’s been more than a year, it’s time for a change.  Click past the jump for some general-purpose instructions, as well as detailed instructions on removing and replacing the cabin air filter in a 7th generation (currently 2009-2012) Nissan Maxima.
