Detroit 2012: 2013 Dodge Dart Makes Its Debut (w/Video)

The compact car market is a fiercely-fought one in the United States.  Both younger and cost-conscious buyers are looking for good value, great fuel economy, technology and attractive styling.  If a single vehicle meets all of these criteria, it’ll most likely be successful.  While the Neon sold well in both Dodge and Plymouth guises, the Caliber – which replaced the Neon in 2005 – hasn’t had the same sales success.  For the 2013 model year, Dodge is reintroducing its storied nameplate, the Dart.  Read on for pictures and details about Dodge’s hot new compact.

Review: 2011 GMC Sierra SLE

We may be nearing the end of the model year, but there’s still time to pick up a 2011 model-year vehicle.  With that in mind, I recently got my hands on a 2011 GMC Sierra, and with very few changes expected for the 2012 model year, it’s safe to say that my mostly positive experience will be carried into next year as well.  With that in mind, read on for my review of GM’s “Professional Grade” half-ton pickup.

February 2011 Sales and Analysis

February was a great month for new-car sales, with the total volume up 21.28% over January, and almost 27% over February of 2010.  Those are the overall numbers, but the general trend for February was that American car companies had a good time, while most of their overseas competitors struggled.  Click past the jump for my analysis and graphs.

Dodge Announces Pricing for 2011 Models

All at once, we have prices for the redesigned Dodge lineup for the 2011 model year.  Chrysler put out a press release earlier this week, and I’ve got a breakdown for you, after the jump.  Every Dodge has seen a makeover this year, from the Avenger to the Durango.

Grand Caravan makes Grand Appearance

One of the last to be announced, the 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan is finally being shown off by Chrysler.  Similar to its Chrysler Town & Country twin, the Grand Caravan is getting its mid-cycle refresh.  Slightly redesigned bodywork and Dodge’s new and greatly-improved interior show up, as does the new Pentastar V6.  Click past the jump for the requisite details, pictures and press release.

Dodge pulls wraps off New Avenger

Dodge continues the complete revamp of its product lineup with the Avenger mid-size sedan.  The current generation has been on sale since 2008, so it’s time for a mid-cycle refresh.  That’s where things get interesting.  The Avenger shares platform and parts with the Chrysler Sebring, which is being replaced by the Chrysler 200.  That opens up a whole slew of upgrades for the Dodge.  Click past the jump for the details, press release and pictures.
