The spookiest month of the year is over … and it wasn’t scary for most automakers. Sales were down just a hair from September, which I expected, as schools get into full swing and most people start shopping for the holidays. I don’t expect sales to pick back up until closer to the new year, with some people receiving transportation as a gift, and any leftover 2010 models having their prices slashed.

All at once, we have prices for the redesigned Dodge lineup for the 2011 model year. Chrysler put out a press release earlier this week, and I’ve got a breakdown for you, after the jump. Every Dodge has seen a makeover this year, from the Avenger to the Durango.
One of the last to be announced, the 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan is finally being shown off by Chrysler. Similar to its Chrysler Town & Country twin, the Grand Caravan is getting its mid-cycle refresh. Slightly redesigned bodywork and Dodge’s new and greatly-improved interior show up, as does the new Pentastar V6. Click past the jump for the requisite details, pictures and press release.
Dodge continues the complete revamp of its product lineup with the Avenger mid-size sedan. The current generation has been on sale since 2008, so it’s time for a mid-cycle refresh. That’s where things get interesting. The Avenger shares platform and parts with the Chrysler Sebring, which is being replaced by the Chrysler 200. That opens up a whole slew of upgrades for the Dodge. Click past the jump for the details, press release and pictures.
Ever since Toyota’s massive recalls earlier this year, automakers are skittish when it comes to customer concerns. It no longer takes a long time nor a large amount of complaints before a recall is announced, which is why you see a lot of recall notices here on Road Reality. Chrysler and the NHTSA have released a new recall affecting almost 27,000 2010-2011 model year vehicles due to a faulty power steering hose. Click past the jump for more details and the press release.

Following up on last month’s introduction of the Chysler 200, the automaker has now released several photos showing us more of the new car’s exterior. While no additional specifications were given, the photos give a much better impression of the Sebring’s replacement. Click past the jump for the gallery and my impressions.
