Car and Driver Announces 2012 “10 Best” List

A perennial favorite article from Car and Driver, their “10 Best” list is the culmination of hundreds of man-hours of testing, driving, and comparing new and updated cars from around the world – so long as they’re available in the United States, under $80,000, and available on January 1st, 2012.

Fun Stuff: Cars 2 Trailer Hits The Web (w/Video)

As a fan of the first Cars movie from Disney / Pixar, I have been looking forward to the release of the sequel ever since it was announced.  Hitting theaters this summer, Cars 2 features Lightning McQueen and Mater (Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy, respectively), entering in the World Grand Prix.  From the trailer, there will also be some spy action, as there’s a very James Bond-esque Aston Martin that shows up.  Watch the trailer below, which is safe for all audiences of course.

Fun Stuff: Diecast Metropolis (w/video)

Since everyone today will be on the road headed to their Thanksgiving destinations, I thought I’d share a video I came across thanks to AutoBlog and Unframed, featuring the kinetic sculpture “Metropolis II” by Chris Burden.  Featuring 1,200 diecast cars and some clever conveyor belts, the sculpture is the largest of its kind that I’ve ever seen.  Click past the jump for the video preview of the roller coaster action.

Buying a Car, the Easy way; Step 5

Step 5: Buy the Car!

After all the research, test drives, narrowing down, you’re left with one car.  You know you want it, now to buy it!  This involves going to the dealership, picking out the exact car you want, negotiating, financing, and signing on the dotted line.  We’ll cover each of those in turn.  This step sounds like it’s one of the easier ones, but it is the most complex, so I have broken it into several sections, to ease the pain of digesting the whole car-purchasing process in one fell swoop.
