Detroit Reveal: Cadillac XTS Platinum Concept

At last week’s Detroit auto show, Cadillac showed off their XTS Platinum Concept car, a replacement for the aging DTS/STS sedans.  It eschews big displacement in favor of Cadillac’s high-content 3.6-liter V6 engine, in addition to an electric motor, providing plenty of hybrid power.  The concept also features a Plug-In feature, letting owners plug the car in overnight to charge its on-board batteries.  The exterior and interior design follow Cadillac’s “Art and Science” paradigm, mimicking the CTS Sedan, only bigger.  The interior also features Cadillac’s standard touch screen navigation and other in-car technologies, currently shown in the SRX, as well as a new layered design, inspired by orchid flowers.
