At long last, the Chrysler 300 is getting an update! Since its introduction in 2005 model year, it’s seen only minor changes, but now we see the 2011 Chrysler 300 with its redesigned interior and exterior. Keeping the same general shape, the new sheetmetal isn’t so much revolutionary as it is evolutionary, which should be a good thing for the Fiat-run domestic automaker. It’s been a great first year for Road Reality, so I’d like to take a minute or three to share some of the highlights of the past year. At the same time, I’d like to thank you, my readers, for your continued input, suggestions, and of course questions. Without you, it wouldn’t be nearly as rewarding to run this site!
Ever since Toyota’s massive recalls earlier this year, automakers are skittish when it comes to customer concerns. It no longer takes a long time nor a large amount of complaints before a recall is announced, which is why you see a lot of recall notices here on Road Reality. Chrysler and the NHTSA have released a new recall affecting almost 27,000 2010-2011 model year vehicles due to a faulty power steering hose. Click past the jump for more details and the press release.

If Toyota were a person, he or she would need some anti-depressants at this point. After a multitude of recalls earlier this year, another big one is hitting the airwaves. This time, it’s for the brake master cylinder, which amplifies the pressure you put on the brake pedal, making it easier for you to stop your car. In certain Toyota and Lexus vehicles, however, a seal is going bad, leaking out the brake fluid, which leads to the “brake warning lamp” illuminating on your dash. Click past the jump for the affected model list and full press release.

The Chrysler Sebring started out in the 1990s as a decent mid-sized sedan, with coupe and convertible variants added in. Nowadays, it’s sales are slow and it’s the butt of many jokes. Chrysler is looking to change that with the Chrysler 200 mid-sized sedan. It will be replacing the long-in-the-tooth Sebring probably later this year, since it’s listed as a 2011 model. Follow the jump for details and a few more teaser photos.
Even though the Scion vehicles were originally slated for one generation before complete replacements arrived, it looks like parent company Toyota has changed their mind. Since they already diverged from the plan with the 2nd generation xB in 2008, Toyota has redesigned the tC for the 2011 model year. The look is more polarizing, the featureset richer, but the price is still in line. Click past the jump for details and pictures on the upcoming car.
