3d-printed-part-and-tubingShortly after purchasing my 2015 Ford F-150, I found out that a fair amount of owners were experiencing less than stellar performance of their front seat coolers.  When the temperatures finally warmed up, I tried mine out, only to find I was one of the unfortunate ones.  User SeatGuru on the F150Forum.com web site has come up with a fix, and I’ve installed it.  Continue reading for the installation instructions, my review, and the results!

Product Review: BAK Revolver X2 and BAK Box 2

BAK Revolver X2 - LogoSince 2012, when I bought the BAK Roll-X tonneau cover for my 2011 Ford F-150, BAK has redesigned their signature roll-up tonneau cover enough to call for a new name: Revolver X2.  In addition, they’ve released the BAK Box 2, a tool box which was designed to work with their truck bed covers, hence the dual installation and review post.  Continue reading for my installation and review of these two products.

Bucket List: Jaguar / Land Rover Event (Part 2 of 2)

Me (in blue), and my instructor in the Jaguar F-Type

Me (in blue), and my instructor in the Jaguar F-Type

In Part 1, I shared a bunch of pictures and tried to put into words how much fun it was to slog a bunch of Land Rover vehicles over hills, into mud, ruts, and sand.  In Part 2, I’ll be attempting the same thing, only on the Jaguar side, where I actually got to drive a Jaguar F-Type S Convertible around Summit Point Motorsports’ Jefferson Circuit.

Bucket List: Jaguar / Land Rover Event (Part 1 of 2)

Jaguar Land Rover Event 2014.06.29 - Me and DVD in F-Type

Me (in blue) and my instructor-for-the-day, who goes by DVD.

GoPro Hero3 White EditionThe GoPro Hero cameras have been out for several years now, and have become popular with adrenaline junkies all over the world.  While there are several dedicated dashboard cameras in use overseas, the options here in America are a bit constrained, to say the least.  Since Washington, D.C.-area drivers do a lot of stupid things behind the wheel, I thought it’d be a great idea to run my own dash cam, so I started researching them, and ended up choosing the GoPro Hero3.  Click past the jump for why, and my review of it.  Keep in mind that I’m writing this review for the Hero3 with dash cam usage in mind.  If you have any more questions about the Hero3, feel free to contact me!

Product Review: BAK Roll-X Tonneau Cover

One of the biggest problems with owning a truck is the lack of a trunk.  While it might not be a daily problem, it does come up, as it did for me a month ago.  With an upcoming road trip necessitating keeping my luggage in the bed instead of the cab, and protected from the elements, I finally had a big enough justification to order a bed cover on my 2011 Ford F-150.  After doing some research, I decided on the BAK Roll-X hard rolling tonneau cover.  Read on for the installation process and my impressions of it.
