How do you make a vehicle quieter? Seal up all openings. How do you test to ensure those seals are working? Fill the vehicle with smoke! Well, that’s what GM’s engineers did, anyway. It’s a fun video to watch, even if it’s mostly PR fluff.

If you live on the eastern seaboard of the US, you know that a huge snowstorm came through the mid-atlantic area and dumped 2+ feet of snow on us. In a bit of bad luck, a Baltimore City snow plow got stuck in the fluffy white stuff. Lucky for the snow plow, a Hummer H2 was nearby, and was able to get the plow back in service. In Chicago, Ohare Towing, as seen on the Speed channel, uses professional towing equipment, including chains, big-rig wreckers, as well as lots of training to do their job. In Chile, this crew apparently uses whatever is handy and will do the job. While I’m all for repurposing tools to do different jobs they work just fine for, you still have to take precautions. To be aired in the 3rd quarter of this weekend’s Super bowl, we’ve got a preview of the Kia Sorento commercial. The ad shows some very Toy Story-like scenes, and is quite inventive. They’ve bought up an entire 60 seconds, which cost them about $6.02 million.

Much in the same vein as The Ford Collection, Chrysler opened up their own online store yesterday, including separate sites for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram. In addition to t-shirts, mugs, you can buy a Chrysler-branded cigar humidor, Dodge Challenger die-cast model set, Jeep wine stopper and a Ram-branded Casio G-Shock watch. There are plenty of branded items there to show off your love for your favorite Chrysler brand, but where is the “Fiat Collection” web site?
