The people at Motor Trend have spent some serious time with GM’s technology-laden electric car, the Chevrolet Volt, and it’s no surprise that they love it. They even tested it and got 127 mpg out of it. Well, now they’ve crowned it king of the hill for 2011, bestowing upon it their coveted Car Of The Year award.

2004 Nissan Frontier
In a recent press release by Nissan, two recalls have been initiated. The first is for the Frontier truck and Xterra SUV, for faulty steering linkages. The second recall is for the Sentra, and involves the battery cables. All told, around 513,000 vehicles in the US will be recalled, starting this month. Remember a couple months ago when Ford announced it would be offering free 50k/4-year maintenance for Lincoln buyers during the summer months of 2010? Well, they’ve extended that to all buyers of any 2011 model-year and later Lincolns. Ford says it’s a way to change the ownership experience for buyers of its luxury brand, and I see it as step 1 of rebuilding Lincoln.
