UPDATED: First Glimpse: 2011 Nissan Quest

Nissan has launched a one-page “microsite,” giving viewers their first glimpse of the redesigned 2011 Quest minivan.  While there are plenty of minivans out there, Nissan has traditionally played a niche role, first selling rebadged Ford Windstars, and later its own quirky but sporty design.  Click here to view the microsite.

The current rumors surrounding the new Quest consist of its engine, supposedly the same 3.7-liter V6 that’s featured in the Infiniti G37 and Nissan 370Z.  This version of the engine is expected to make about 300 horsepower, which should give it a performance edge over much of its competition.  The Nissan Quest has been around since the early 1990s, but sales have steadily dropped from 46,000 in 2004 to only 8,500 in 2009, which led to Nissan pulling the plug on the current generation Quest and waiting on the 2011 model.
