Mustang 1000 Lap Challenge

06/23/10 Bristol, Tn. – Tim Duerr, Ford Racing Marketing Manager, throws the checkered flag as NASCAR driver David Ragan crosses the start/finish line completeing the one-thousandth lap in the Mustang 1000 Lap Challenge in which a 2011 Mustang V6 attempted to complete 1000 laps or 533 miles at Bristol Motor Speedway on a single tank of fuel. With a quarter tank of fuel remaining on the one-thousandth lap, the decision was made to continue running the V6 Mustang until it ran out fuel. ©2010, Paul Webb
