2011 Buick Regal, Camaro Convertible production announced

The 2011 Buick Regal, seen here, will be built in Canada, at GM of Canada’s Oshawa plant, alongside the 2011 Camaro Convertible.  Both will start to be built in Quarter 1 of 2011, a curious time, considering most 2011 model-year cars will be on the roads starting in the second half of 2010.  Regardless, the Regal will be Buick’s second car in its renaissance.  First up was the LaCrosse, the flagship sedan of the marque.  The Regal will be a midsize sports sedan, available with a V6 or even a 4-cylinder engine, and a manual transmission.  It’s been a long time since a Buick came with a manual transmission, but with the cheaper cost of the 4-cylinder and manual transmission, Buick is aiming squarely at its luxury rivals in the hopes of stealing away younger buyers.  Click through the jump for some more pictures of the 2011 Buick Regal.

  1. Not yet – and I wouldn’t expect one for several years, if ever. GM isn’t building a convertible version of its Regal in Europe, and that’s where the car came from.
